Belah Viaduct

Belah Viaduct was demolished in 1962 after closure of the Cross Pennine Railway, this view is of the Southern buttress standing proud at the head of the Eden Valley. Still an impressive sight today as a shadow of it’s former self when it spanned 317 metres and stood at 59.7 metres, was undeniably one of the great sights of the railway system in northern England,
