Howgills and the Moon Trees

This night shot of the passing moon was all in the planning. A very cold night and a frozen tent was home as the darkness needed to be long enough for what I had in mind, I fired the shutter 10 min before the moon entered the large format 5"x7" neg frame at 11pm, the exposure was the next 6.5 hours @ f8. Thin clouds and mist rolled in and out adding atmosphere to the scene.
