The "Water Cut" is the first in a series of ten site-specific carved stone sculptures along the length of the River Eden, part of the Eden Benchmarks project the Water Cut commands the most impressive view from the source of the Eden in Mallerstang. This star trail image was composed with a 4.5 hour exposure with the camera pointed towards the Pole Star in the North, the sculpture was then painted in with a head torch for 5 minutes.
